Please Refer QW-433 ASME Sec iX
1.If a welder qualified for F4 with backing can weld F3 with backing as per QW-433
Welder is already qualified for F3 without backing 0.200 inch max (2×0.100 inch) and One more 0.664 inch with F3 he can weld total 0.864 inch.

2. For thickness of weld metal qualified refer QW-452.1(b)
For example welder deposited F4 0.332 inch thickness weld metal deposited.
Maximum weld metal deposited will ne 2×0.332= 0.664.

Above clauses are get from ASME ix interpretation.

Please explain  Using E6010, how the welder qualified to deposit 0.864 in. maximum of weld metal???????
