Dear Mr Noble,
ER 70S-6 in MIG welding consumable and ER 70S-2 is TIG consumable, hence both are different process and new qualification is required.

Dear Experts,
If a PQR is qualified using ER70S-2 with impact testing, can we use the same PQR to prepare a WPS using ER70S-6, since both filler metals fall under the same F-Number and A-Number?
Would this be acceptable under ASME Section IX, or would a new PQR be required?
Your expert opinions and code references would be appreciated.
