Thanks for your input....It will be a structure of steel sheets (1.5-5mm) and will be used under up to minus 30 degree temp....Kindly recommend the gas as well. yes absolutely, but it should not be delayed more than 03 or 07 days. some company instruct with in 03 days and some are with in 07 days PWHT. Hi We have successfully welded 42CrMo4 in past with E8018-B2, Preheat min. 150-200 degree celcius followed by PWHT. Hi  It appears that there is some mix up of welding consumables like ER316L. Please check the welding consumables issue slip and find out whether there was any mixup. Rectification is to remove the defective areas by grinding and reweld as per WPS.
