[MW:27578] Heater Width Requirement

Dear All, We are facing some problem regarding ASTM A 335 Gr. P 22 header joint PWHT. The header has many raising coil. Header thickness is 52 mm.We are getting only 140 mm for the heater wrapping (  i.e each side from weld groove centre line 70 mm) We cover only 140 mm cover the insulation wool.Side, there is no access to put heating band as well as insulation wool. I tried one time but heat transfer is too much....after reaching 400 degree centrigrade machine is stopped working. Can anybody inform me how much heating band and insulation is required as per AWS D10.10 according to thickness 52mm. Can anybody give me some solution to do PWHT according to this restricted situation. Thanks in advance Regards, Pradip -- https://materials-welding.blogspot.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/groups/122787 --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Materials & Welding" group.
