Tisco develops new stainless steel grade TTS443 successfully

China’s Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group (Tisco) has developed a new grade stainless steel TTS443 and achieved the sales of 3,000 tons in a short term. Since 2006, the price of nickel went up sharply to US$51,800/ton on the LME which increased the cost of stainless steel mills and end users. Therefore, mills are seeking to have a cheaper stainless steel with good anticorrosive characteristics. TTS443 grade stainless steel has good performance in high corrosion resistance , forming and welding, high temperature resistance, and it can widely use in construction decoration, electrical appliances and auto parts.
