If your WPS/PQR states GTAW is qualified up to 8 mm, then the 8.18 mm exceeds the limit. Consult with the
Client and clarify if they will accept the existing WPS with the required adjustments. Otherwise, create a new
WPS that covers GTAW for the thickness of the pipe you are going to use. You cannot use the existing WPS
without modifications due to the thickness exceeding the specified limit.
