[MW:2909] Magnetic effect on Autentic steel

Why Austetic steel is non-magnetic as compare to martenstic steel?
e.g. in austentic steel main constitute are Iron+chromium+Nickel & in martentstic steel main constitute are Iron+chrmium.
There is addition of nickel in Austentic steel, but nickel is a feroomagetic material how it make the autentic steel non-magnetic?

Sorry, im only new to this depth of study, but im fairly sure it's the nickel that creates the austenitic crystalline structure of the stainless. Therefore atomically, it is a face centered cubic, which of course is non-magnetic.

Hi,  You are correct, Minimum refers to the one cycle for which this part will expose until final work shop PWHT. hence mill test certificate shall include this.  Max. SPWHT, refers to additional cycles of heat treatment that are reserved for future repairs during equipment lifetime.  Again, these simulated no. Introduction The colour formed when stainless steel is heated, either in a furnace application or in the heat affected zone of welds, is dependent on several factors that are related to the oxidation resistance of the steel.
