Dear,
6mm throat fillet with single layer will leads to more weaving.
As a general thumb rule, weaving should not be more than 3 times of electrode dia.
Weaving leads to increase chances of crack and decrease the toughness in welding. Means leads to weak welding.
In short, for 6 mm fillet weld, u have to do first root weld and then multi weld over it.
Multi layer welding,gives strength to weld. It is always be good.
