Dear Prakash

Thanks for your reply.
My question here is the -
when the design parameter is -20 deg F to 250 deg F, can the Material class be only -50 deg F to 180 deg F?
-50 deg F is more than -20 deg F, FINE for minus degree service.
But 180 deg F is less than 250 deg F, should the material temperature be equal or greater than Design? this is my question in the previously attached report.

raj

Who gave the design parameters? If given by client then, design it to that. Not the service parameters.

Dear Experts

Good day to all.
I reviewed a DVR as per the attached,

Design parameters:-
Max working pressure 5000 psi.
Design temperature -20 deg F to 250 deg F.
Service Sour
Service Material class EE NL.

Here, SERVICE of the product is as below,
EE denotes sour SERVICE=SAME AS DESIGN REQUIREMENT.
N denotes -50 to 140 deg F. & L denotes -50 to 180 deg F.
So we can combine and get NL as -50 to 180 deg F. NOT SAME AS DESIGN REQUIREMENT.
MY QUESTION IS -
DOES THIS PRODUCT SERVICE MATCH WITH DESIGN REQUIREMENT?
Do we need to change the lower/higher temperature limit of design/service or it can be the same?

Please give your valuable. comments on this subject.

Regards
Raj
