[MW:25441] 6GR Procedure Qualification - Does it cover CJP Butt Joints during production - WPS and NOT WELDER

Dear folks,

I have a procedure which was qualified, tested and accepted as follows.

1. Position of Test - 6GR
2. Pipe Used 6" Sch 120 and XXS
3. Process - FCAW
4. CJP as per sketch 4.25 CJP without any backing or backgouging.

Query.

Assuming that the welder is qualified, all other things are within control, thickness, etc etc,

1. Can I weld a Plate to Plate in CJP Butt Joint which does not have access to back gouging or back welding.

2. Can I have either a Single V or Single Bevel

3. Can I use ceramic backing

Appreciate your advise,

Regards
Rudolf
