Dear Expert,

I'm having issue on removing slag on root pass welding for stainless steel pipe welding

Welding condition:
Material: SS 316L
Thickness: 4-5mm
Bevel angle: 65 deg
Root opening: 3-4mm
Root face: 1mm
Pipe dia: 4 inch

I'm using KOBELCO TG-X316L FCW TIG rod, special consumable which can eliminate back purging which save cost on Ar.

However, it is difficult to remove slag on inside the pipe.

Kindly advice if anyone have experience using TG-X from KOBELCO and how to remove the slag inside the pipe.

Best regards,
