You may wish refer to the Client’s specifications first before seeking a concession from RT to UT

If there is restricted access for RT to be carried out which you have to prove it,  I believe the client may accept your proposal

Dear Experts,

 

We are fabricating steel encapsulations for Dolphin Structures. Material is EH36.

Client has proposed for 10%RT for butt joints. Can I propose for 10% UT instead for RT as per  AWS D1.1 or ASME SECV.

 

Requesting for extact reference from codes.
