We have carried out PQR (ASME Sec IX) for Welding of Duplex SS (A 790 Grade S31803) P. No. - 10H to SS 304, P No. 8 by GTAW filler wire ER 309L. This filler wire is adopted as per API 582 (Table A-3) and also after client approval on PWPS.

Now client is quoting that they have some bitter experience with ER 309L and insisting us to use GTAW filler wire ER 2209.

Does any one have any past experience / literature for Welding of Duplex SS (A 790 Grade S31803) P. No. - 10H to SS 304, P No. 8 by GTAW filler wire ER 309L

Your reply may possibly strengthen our case.
