Hi H.A.,

It is not necessary for abrasive blasting before Hot Dipped Galvanizing as the vendor will “clean” your items or fabricated components with the various solvents before dipping into the zinc pool

Maybe, please refer to your hot dipped galvanizing vendor for their brochure which will give you additional information on the process
