ASME IX- Weld Position Qualified Range- Neither Essential/or Supplementary Variable- Confused in understanding the range qualified in Struture and Pipe Weld Positions.
Pls explain in detail with some tabulation/reference to Code Interpretations:-
1 -QW-405.2-PQR qualified in 3G( Plate) position qualify for:-
1.1 1G,2G,3G,4G,and 6GR -Structure as well?
1.2 1G.2G.5G.6G - Piping
This is applicable only when CVN Test Required?
How about when a PQR qualified 3G without CVN Test?
2 - Can i qualify PQR in 3G Position(Plate) tests done meeting ASME Sect IX and use for Structural welding?
