Re: [MW:16743] Highest hardness acceptable limit for ss 347 H in as welded condition

Please check for the Delta Ferrite percentage. It should be in the range of 5-10%. Do a magnetic check. Also try to calculate the percent ferrite from the WRC diagram based on chemical compaosition. If there is a mismatch occured due to welding conditions then do a solution annealing heattreatment.

Subject: [MW:16742] Highest hardness acceptable limit for ss 347 H in as welded condition

Dear Experts,
Someone else can tell me that what is the high hardness acceptable value for the ss 347 H in as welded condition. Actually we did one pqr with this material using ER 16.8.2/E 16.8.2 metrode welding consumable , pipe dia is 20"X 23.8mm in 6G position. All tests are pass like impact, bend, tensile, macro , micro structure. Max. Hardness Is 320 Hv10.
Can anyone can define the max value. Service is not sour.however operating temp is high from 500 to 700 deg celcius.
