Dear Chandra you can use E7016. You have to take care for the requirement on impact value at -40 degrees C, if applicable.

dear expert,

i'm have material ABS EH36 (Tensile Range 71-90 Ksi),include on the group II in AWS D1.1
can i used electrode E7016?
how the tensile strength wire electode can be matching with the base metal.
the welding process will be used SMAW.

note:
1.base metal in the WPS include group II but not ABS EH36
2. Electrode used in WPS E7016
