Yes Mr. Arturo is right. Because welder has done welding with purging for A335 P9. So internally test is better way

If you have a qualified wps with A335 P9  do it, but  performance test internally is better.

Dear Experts,

 

1 welder is qualified with ASTM A 106 Gr. B with ER70S-6 (Root & 2nd Pass) & E7018(Fill & Cap) with a diameter range of 2 7/8 and above

If thickness and dia of pipe remain same, can he weld on ASTM A 335 Gr. P-9 with ER80s B8 & E 8018 B8.
