Hi friends A vessel is being fabricated as per ASME Sec VIII Div.1. MOC is SA 516 Gr.70 The 2:1 ellipsoidal Dish end nominal thickness is 16mm / min thk 14mm. There is no PWHT and Impact test requirements in the vessel. I would like to know whether this 16mm thk dishend requires stress relieving or not as per UCS-79. Vendor has offered dish ends without SR. Is it acceptable? Nothing is mentioned in client specs and drawing about D/E SR. Regards Prem Nautiyal |
