fre:[MW:15252] Hard facing on Hammer IS;276 Mn steel Gr.III Reg.

Pl let us know whether cracks are longitudanal or transceese. Transverse cracks are known as relief cracks and are allowed for hardness of 500 and above. Myy not creat any poblems. If it is transverse It is due residual stresses develoed due to hadened surface. Weld 2 to 3 layers of buffer layers prior to or use ss . E 312 or E 309 in place of cs ovelay sridhar.

* As per Client Requirement Hard facing is Required on the
Hammer Mn steel Gr.III and Hardness should be maintain 400
to 500BHN.10mm thk Hardfacing is required on four side*

* Now are doing Hardfacing on the Hammer. First we are making Buffer
layer with FCAW process and than we are used GMAT-3200 Electrode for Hard
facing.*



* But problem is that after welding Hard Facing are found crack at so many
place.*
