Hi All,I Would like to know how much settlement allowed during hydro test of floating roof tank.At my site, the tank foundations are placed on concrete pilings due to soft soil conditions.. Piling depth around 22 mtrs from ground level. Tank dia 40 Mtrs. Height 18 mtrs. Even after strong piling for every one meter distance ( pile to pile, pile dia 600mm).Around 150 piles layed below the tank foundation. During hydro test of tanks we observed at one side settlement around 100mm observed. What is the allowble settlement for tanks with piling and without piling foundations. In which API code mentioned.Regards.K V Narasimha RaoSr. Principal EngineerIRS - TPI--
