[MW:14859] Seeking for welding qualification code/standards for resistance welding

Dear Experts,

A piece of screen need to be welded with frame plate by tack welding.Diameter of weir is 1.2mm; Thickness of the frame plate is 1.6mm

Previously, We tried to tack weld two parts in the cross section by GTAW with and without filler metal. However We find that, Once welder start the arc using the GTAW(TIG) and move it near to the joint between the screen wire and the frame, the wires fuse instantly and break ,even we adopt the minimum current. I think that due to the wire size that welding using the GTAW process is impractical and maybe resistance welding is the better choice.

Now the problem is that We can not find an appropriate qualification code for such uncommon joint using RSW process. It seems that AWS and ASME are not applicable for qualify the joint between the weir and sheet plate. Is there anybody could provide applicable code or any tips? Thanks a lot!
