Dear Experts, Good day, May I use 2 PQRs to make a single WPS detailed as below for welding of 3.73 mm. Min. Thk. & 12 mm. Max. Thk. production joints with Impact. PQR-1 (PWHT, Without Impact) Process TIG+ SMAW. Base Metal T welded- 16 MM. TIG Process t - 2.5 mm. & SMAW t- 13.5 mm. PQR- 2 (PWHT, With Impact MDMT -45º C.) Process TIG + SMAW. Base Metal T welded- 5 mm. TIG Process t- 2.5 mm. & SMAW t- 2.5 mm. Refering to QW-401.3 & QW-403.6 of ASME Sec. IX, combining these 2 PQRS, my qualified T shall be 2.5 mm. to 32 mm. with Impact and 1.6 mm. to 32 mm. without Impact. Qualified t shall be 5 mm. for TIG and 32 mm. for SMAW. Please correct me if I am wrong. I am little bit confused with clause QW-200.4 of ASME Sec. IX. It would be appreciated if any body can explain in detail with example. Thanks & regards, C. R.
