Dear welding experts
I need to hear about the PQR of Aluminium 5083 with tempere degree
321.
5083 aluminium with tempere degree 321 has tensile strentgh : min. 305
MPa
ER5183 (commonly used wire for 5083 aluminium) has tansile strentgh :
min. 290 Mpa
(Even you use ER5556 wire tensile strentgh is min.295 MPa)
So i mean that if we use 5083 (tempere degree 321) aluminium base
material, even you use ER5183 or ER5556 you can not reach the tensile
strength 305 MPa in the weldment. So always tansile strength specimens
rapture from weldment.
If i make a pqr like this how can i accept it in this condition? I
mean the tensile test will be raptured from weldment ? Normally this
is a cause for fail for PQR?
( note: If we use 5083 with tempere degree 111 there is no problem
because the tensile strenth of 5083 aluminiım with 111 temepre degree
is 295 MPa. )
Thank you.
