Dear,sir

If any spray coating came near this welds- if so does the coating has any zinc or check the chemical composition of the coating.
(usually painting activities follow welding or if any near by C.S structure that were painted ).

Dear Experts,

we are facing a problem in SS welded joints. most of the joints are found rusted ( layer of rust) after 2 months duration. we checked for the wrong usage of grinding discs, power brush. but everything was found ok.Then we checked PMI, then ferrite test as requested by the client and the results were positive. The pipe material is TP316L, the filler wire usedis ER316L, Electrode E316L-15

we proposed the Pickling & passivation as the only solution ,but client is still not satisfied. Is there any other possiblity for the rust formation? Is the redrying temperature& time have any effect on the chemical composition change?

kindly clarrify

Regards,
Sam
