RE: [MW:14236] For stainless steel sockets welding purging need or not

IF YOU DO NOT USE GAS BACKING DURING THE WELDING OF SS SOCKETS WE RISK TO HAVE SUGARING IN THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE WELDS.
IT WOULD BE BETTER NOT TO TAKE CHANCES AND USE GAS BACKING
