[MW:12953] Acceptance Variations in Plate Thickness

Dear All,

I am facing a problem in A 36 Material (Plate 6000mm X 1500mm).We need 8mm plate but we have plate with 7.2mm thickness.I consult from A 6/6M for acceptance criteria, but m little bit confuse.

Code refers that if plate size with width 1200 to 1500mm having allowance 0.8mm with thickness 8mm either it is plus or minus,it is not mention in that table.

so any one of you can guide about it..

Hi, You are correct, Minimum refers to the one cycle for which this part will expose until final work shop PWHT. hence mill test certificate shall include this. Max. SPWHT, refers to additional cycles of heat treatment that are reserved for future repairs during equipment lifetime. Again, these simulated no. Of cycles shall be specified in MTC.
