Hi,
Only temp recording is only the mistake in your case, ie as 385 Deg C, but you had placed the material at 300 Deg as per code provision – so there is no issue of the mechanical properties change in the material;
Further mechanical properties will not affect with change in temperature while placing the material in the furnace.
Thanks and Regards................?

Subject: [MW:12899] Furnace temperature for PWHT
Hi,
PWHT procedure for a unit (Pig Traps) made of API 5L Gr 65 material specify temp of furnace 300 Deg C when unit is placed on it, unfortunately Furnace temp was recorded at 385 Deg C....
As i know max. recommended temp of furnace while placing unit should be 315 Deg C, please share your view whether exceeded temp would effect mechanical properties in some way...
