we formed a dished end for our vessel but during hydrotesting some crack were observed, the finding was attributed to flanging process due to it's thickness

Dear experts,
     Did any body know about the accessibility's of making a head from material SA516 GR.70 with thickness 8mm  . 
So did any body use this with out happening a crack? .
And if any body use it i hope to feed me by a procedure to follow it.
