Impact test is mandatory for t>6mm, if the material is going for low temperature service.

Dear Experts,

For crosshead installation in jetty project, the following materials (37mm) are used.

Road way            - S355JO
Crosshead           - S355JR & S275JR
Pipe track            - S355JR

As per European structural steel standard EN10025 , for JR grade, Longitudinal charpy V-notch impacts 27J @20 degrees and for JO grade, Longitudinal charpy V-notch impacts 27J @ 0 degrees.

We received materials mill certificates w/o impact test.

My question is whether impact is mandatory for above grades or any criteria of thickness as per EN10025? Please mention with reference codes.

Your valuable suggestions are appreciated.

Regards

arvinda
