Re: [MW:12035] Minimum distance between butt weld joint and support weld

i would like to suggest you to read far enough the engineering/technical document. the thing you need might be there, as the ASME B31 code does not list the limit.

The thing you need is to avoid HAZ and stress concentration effect on material. this may be a 1 inch distance for thin material or 4 inches distance for great thickness material.

just to let you know that some document specifies four times from the thickness of pipe, but other document specifies 5 times.
