Dear Experts, If the welding technique is changed does it require Requalification ? as the QW-401.2 it states. QW-401.2 Essential Variable (Performance). A change in a welding condition which will affect the ability of a welder to deposit sound weld metal (suchas a change in welding process, deletion of backing, electrode, F-Number, technique, etc.).
were as the QW-401.1 Essential Variable (Procedure). it states Welding technique as Non-Essential variable .
Which QW we have to follow and why ?
