Dear Mr suresh,
Based on your quire, I think your client may ask for base material test certificate to conform whether your base material meets the required MDMT before PQR qualification
. After PQR qualification as we all know we use to conduct required mechanical test concentrating on weld metal properties only, not for base material,
But before going for PQR test ,it is the prime duty of a responsible inspector to check whether the base material meets the mechanical properties like required MDMT i.e impact test (other factors also to be checked), generally the test are carried out by plate manufacture. The results are found is Test Certificate provided by manufacture.
In your case the plate use is SA 537 CL1 @ - 34 C, as per SA 537 you have to refer A 20 for temperature values , its states that temperature values are to decide by customer based on requirements.Your requirement is -34C so youto have check before going for the PQR that your base materials meets the requirements at -34C by reviewing your base material TC and also your filler metal TC.
guess i have cleared your dough.!!!!!!
