Jagdish,

Making the root weld half done is not a good workmanship.

Also, most codes put a restriction for such things and at least root and hot pass must be completed before any interruption in welding.

What is your application of welding and check with your client spec.

 I would like to know during welding at root pass stage we stop some reason, but  we can start continue welding on next day without any test is it possible.
