Re: [MW:11077] Query regarding Flanges

Dear Mr. Ilangkuran,

Before concluding further, check up service condition, process fluid, last but not least, root cause and solution for improper support for WNRF.

F 316L is compitable to weld with 304L ( pipe material), with proper consumable.

With Best Regards,

[MW:11074] Query regarding Flanges

Dear experts,

Our existing weldneck flange butt weld failed due to improper support provided and we decided to replace it. Now the existing one is SA182 Type F304L due to unavailability of this we decide to replace it with readily available SA182 Type  316L. PNO & GROUP NO remain same for both the flanges as per section IX.

Is it compatible in terms of weldability and its intend service or what will be the consequences if its welded? or should we use only type F304L?

Can somebody explain me?

Regards
Ilangkumaran
