Re: [MW:11061] GRE pipings

Good Morning..

for GRE piping hydro test is required as per design standards(wall thickness, stress analysis) and required pressure is advised by GRE manufacturer.you can proceed only as per pressure apprived by manufacturer.

ask the contractor for approved hydrotest method statment containg the procedure of testing, either six cycle hydrotest is required or one cycle, depend on the required specification.if it is to be hold for long duration mean more than 2-3 hours then use recordered.

regards,

fazal malik.

Subject: [MW:11051] GRE pipings

Dear Experts,

I'm working as TPI and representing ADNOC and my contractor who is doing GRE piping works. some of the works completed and I have checked them and found ok.

Now GRE piping installed and the pipings needs to be hydro tested. But I haven't been provided any documents regarding the procedures like method os statement for the hydro testing. I dont know even what pressure is? what is the holding time? no details were given in the drawing. How many pressure gauges to be used? where it is needed recorder etc,
NO QCP/ITP/hydro testing procedures.

Can anyone explain me how to sort out this problem? And what are the documents shoul I ask prior to this job?if possible some procedures and stds can be sent it to me.

Thanks in advance
