QW-423 Alternate Base Materials for Welder Qualification

QW-423.1

Base metal used for welder qualification may be substituted for the metal specified in the WPS in

accordance with the following table. When a base metal shown in the left column is used for welder qualification,

the welder is qualified to weld all combinations of base metals shown in the right column, including unassigned

metals of similar chemical composition to these metals.

                 your welder is qualified for the combination you mentioned since they are qualified in P9 and P8 .

dear experts,

we have dissimilar materials  (only fillet weld is coming) between P9 to P8,due to lack of material we want to conduct welder test on production joint it self.we have welders qualified in P9 (FNo.6) and P8 (FNo6),
but for now we are using filler wire ERNiCr-3 (F.No43) for dissimilar materials.how we can qualify welder on fillet weld.is there any applicable standard is there?pl let me know.
