[MW:11066] Re: GRE pipings

First of all it seems u have lost the basic specs of the project
without which u couldn't have started the material purchase itself.
please ask the client for the specs with design pressure requirements
and from ther u have to work as general piping for all test
procedures...make sure to consult the maufacturer for precautions to
be taken and never leave the line pressured unattended as the pressure
tends to vary very soon with temperature variation and use at least
two callibrated pressure gauges to safeguard against possible faulty
problems.
1. find job design pr. requirements and test accordingly as per local
standards applicable
2. confirm correct materials used
3. make method statement fro approval as u wish to do the test
involving the test pr., hold time, and other parameters.
4. client to approve the same
5. pigging or others as relevant to be done before test
6. hookup the full lines with vents and emergency drain at operation
point
7. make available sufficient crew to monitor operation
8. choose time with least temperature fluctuations ...avoid afternoon
times.
9. make a prayer and go AHEAD....All the best

I dont know even what pressure is? what is the holding time? no details were given in the drawing. How many pressure gauges to be used? where it is needed recorder etc,
