[MW:11008] aluminium weld raidiography

hi friends

can anybody tell me is that possible to do radiography with Ir-192  source in place of X RAY source  for AL -6061 material where  thickness is 10mm. we have no facility to use X -ray source.

can we change the aluminium scale value into steel scale  value during radiography while we using using Ir- 192 source? 

i have read the procedure of radiography for aluminium weld ? but not find any document related to my problem?
