Part H AWS D1.6 says that the prequilified section is applied to the nominally austenite stainless steel listed in table 3.2.
In my case a material spec is ASTM A240 type 409 which is a ferritic stainless steel and is not on the table 3.2.
So i wanted to go with section 4 qualification. but the problem is the material thickness (thickness of test coupon) available.
what tests i can do?
