Dear Vino,

Please have a look at Qw-420.2 which allows you to use ASTM material for qualification.

In 2009, changes were made and S no. was removed from ASME Sec ix, "Base materials previously assigned S no were reassigned the corresponding P no or P no plus Gr no"

ASTM material shall have same P no as assigned to ASME material (SA333 Gr6 - P1 Gr1 & A350 LF2 - P1 Gr2)

If ASTM Material is used for qualification, then WPS will be qualified only for that particualr Material and cannot be Qualified as P1 Material. Please provide all reference from Code for justification.
