Major difference:
ASME Sec VIII Div1: applicable to vessels designed for pressure not exceeding 3000psi (20MPa).
ASME Sec VIII Div 2: applicable to vessels designed for pressure from 3000psi(20MPa) to 10,000psi(65MPa).
