As per AWS D 1.1 or ASME Sec 9 or En -- No impact test is required for welder qualification..This is supplement test to be carried out on specific application if the raw material is qualified for impact test..
 
Coming to your point.. impact test is not mandatory for A 36 -material - Hence it is not required to carry out impact test.. Suppose if you are going for S355J2 G3 or Sailma 350HI or IS 2062 Fe 410...it is advisible to carry out impact test during procedure qualification also...as the basic materials were meeting the impact requirements..

But  I get heared from one great testing Labratory tat Imapct test is
also required?
Pl confirm me about this WPS, wat are the test need for WPS
qualification.
Experts pl comment on above..
