Re: [MW:10141] T & t conflicts?WPS is 1.5 to 14.22mm, can i qualify welder in T - 12.70 for 5 to 25.4mm ? is possible r not?

Hi,
Case : 1 - You can use this WPS to for welder qualification up to the test specimen thickness of 14.22mm.But in production welding if you want to weld more than 14.22mm,you cannot use this wps.You have to use another WPS with the thickness qualified of 14.22 and more.

Case 2: Yes.But if you want to use this welder to weld less than 5mm,you have to use another WPS qualified for less than 5mm.

Thanks & Regards,

(Karthik)
