Hii Good day to all,

SW using for piping when small bore and low heat input needed .if you
for BW in small bore ,heat input may not be resisted for lower wall
thickness ....

best of my knowlwedge I would recommended strongly using SW for small
bore unless vibratory or critical services .. we should mantained 2 or
3 mm gap when we are instering the pipe ...for heat expansion or
contraction purpose....

AS per ASME 31.3 for SW joints min 2 passes required ...
