As long as the GTAW deposit thickness is within the range qualified, you can use your original WPS.
See QW-200.4(a) last paragraph:
“ QW200.4 Combination of Welding Procedures
(a) . . . When following a WPS that has more than one welding process, filler metal or set of variables, each process, filler metal, or set of variables may be used individually or in different combinations . . .”

dear experts,
one of our client has approved a PQR qualified with the base metal is P5B to P5B.purging and Pre heat also done, having O.D.-4'',
thickness 14mm,process for root,hot pas,filler pass1 with GTAW,remaining filler pass & final with SMAW
my question is
we have same material & pipe dia 5" dia pipe,6.55 thickness,with only GTAW process only.now i can use that WPS where SMAW is also there.or i have to prepare another WPS with same PQR.
so please experts give valuable advice
