See below – prequalified means that as long as the requirements for the process and the prequalified joint detail are met, then no PQR/testing is required.

In a prequalified WPS as per AWS D1.6 fillet weld, does it need to do a PQR? NO What mechanical/destructive test is required. Size of weld would 6mm. NONE
