[MW:10265] RE: 10243] Prequalified WPS AWS D1.6

See below – prequalified means that as long as the requirements for the process and the prequalified joint detail are met, then no PQR/testing is required.

Subject: [MW:10243] Prequalified WPS AWS D1.6

Hi there,

In a prequalified WPS as per AWS D1.6 fillet weld, does it need to do a PQR? NO What mechanical/destructive test is required. Size of weld would 6mm. NONE

Thanks in advance,

Larry Zarate
