[MW:10172] PAUT Calibration Block

Greeting all,

I am in the process of start the PAUT on the piping weld joint to replace RT, basically pipe size range from 1" to 36" and all the size have the sch40,80,120and 160 plus some special thickness.

I propose the pipe size for PAUT from 4" and above.I have both P1 and P8 material and some other special material also.

As per ASME sec V T-434.3 piping calibration block is required same nominal size and schedule.

I required your advice that

1.     Can we take the benefit of curvature from 0.9 to 1.5 times the basic calibration block diameter for the curvature as per ASME Sec V T-434.1.7.2?

2.    How about the different pipe Sch ? Is it required separate calibration block for pipe every different SCH  with same pipe diameter?(e.g 8" pipe with S40,S80,S120 etc)

please advice ,for your information I am sending the list of pipe size required to phase array please give some advice to minimize the no of calibration block to cover the all pipe size.
