Hi,
You can theoretically calculate the HAZ, but may not be accurate. There are thick plate & thin plate equations. First you should findout whether to us thin plate or thick plate equation then accordingly use the applicable formula. You can find these formulas in AWS welding handbook, I dont know the volume no. I could recall only thin plate equation
 
1/Tp-To = 4.13pcty/ Hnet  + 1/Tm-To; where, Tp is peak temperature, To is initial plate temp (room temp or preheat temp), pc-heat capacity, Tm is melting temp;

What do you mean from HAZ calculation? are you trying to calculate the width of HAZ?
 
There is no such direct calculation or ready made formula available to calculate the width of HAZ, generally the width of HAZ depends on several factors.
 
- Welding Process used,
- Welding parameters / Heat input used,
- Preheat / Interpass temperatures,
- Material and Thickness used, etc.,

If you wanted to calculate the exact width, then weld a coupon and send it your lab for macro examination, after you etch the polished specimen you'll be able to clearly see the width of the HAZ.
