[MW:9795] ferritic stainless steel Procedure weld crack

dear guys,

Request to give your comments for the below

Material used for welding is SA 240 TP 410S weld over lay on carbon steel(SA 516 )

Consumable used Barrier layer -Pure iron (electrode D& H 45S)

Further layer  E 430-15 (D& H 17Cr)

Preheating temp-100:c

Interpass temp-250c

Weld overlay was done for 8mm on Carbon steel plate thickness 8mm.

After welding there was some minor distortion ,to remove distortion slight straightening was done on jack.

During starightening we noticed crack on overlay.

I want to know why crack was developed ,how to overcome this situation.

Advice what precaution to be taken to qualify this procedure.

Why the weld overlay crack developed is there any other reason.

thanks expecting you guys to reply

krishna
